The idea of the value and enjoyment of one’s job depend on the number of hours one puts into it is beyond me. I prefer to seek comfort in the fact that there are others out there who have no idea what they should be doing in life, who are never quite content with their current lot and who “carry a sense of disappointment: that for all their opportunities, freedoms and achievements, life has not delivered quite what they had hoped”.
